The Cult Collection Grappa Pen has been issued as fountain pen, with both cartridge and converter feeders, and as a rollerball pen. Production is limited to 1912 for the fountain pen and 1912 for the rollerball, the given number denotes the year of establishment of the Montegrappa company. The blind cap of the Grappa pen is reserved for the limited edition number.
Both the historic traditions of grappa distilling and the aesthetic of steampunk have inspired and influenced the design of the latest addition to Montegrappa’s Cult collection. The materials used in the pens’ manufacture, reminiscent of the distilling vessels, include stainless steel, brass and copper for the cap and barrel, employed in the manner of the actual equipment’s construction.
Embracing the spirit of grappa and its life-enhancing properties, the Grappa Pens arrive in special packaging not unlike the presentation of an actual bottle of the liquor. The pen comes in a blown glass bottle with a large globe base, made by local artisans, bearing the Montegrappa coat of arms in metallic finish.

Created for those who follow the Chinese Zodiac, with appeal, too, for pen collectors in general, honours the Year of the Goat. It communicates the qualities of one of the most charming creatures in the menagerie.
Montegrappa’s Year of the Goat 2015 will be produced as fountain pen and rollerball pen, with a green pearlised resin barrel and cap. The barrel’s centre section is made of engraved sterling silver or 18k yellow gold, engraved with the five elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. In between the elements are the years during the past century that correspond to the Year of the Goat in that specific element. The cap is dominated by a pocket clip in the form of a proud goat’s head, with its eyes highlighted by green gemstones.
The Year of the Goat 2015 will be available in limited editions of 888 sterling silver fountain pens and 888 sterling silver rollerball pens, and 88 solid 18k gold fountain pens and 88 solid 18k gold roller ball pens.

Montegrappa’s limited editions are conceived to provide their discerning owners with a taste of Italy, to feel the presence of the great masters who passionately breathed life into their works and made them immortal.
Among the limited edition series produced by Montegrappa is a brand-new Collection named Mightier Than the Sword, joining the Cult and Icon collections in honouring individuals of great cultural impact and influence. As the name implies, by glorifying the pen and the written word, the candidate is a special person who has enriched and enhanced life by contributing to mankind through philosophy, politics, the arts and other fields.
Prominent among the subjects of the Mightier Than the Sword Collection will be writers, politicians, national heroes and other notables. It is therefore appropriate that The Hemingway Pens form the first family in this new series. Ernest Hemingway was one of the most innovative and influential writers, reporter and novelists of the 20th century, one who wrote, coincidentally, with Montegrappa pens.

Developed in collaboration with Richard Restak M.D.
Working with no less an authority on cerebral matters than Dr. Richard Restak, M.D., Montegrappa is proud to announce one of the most ambitious pens in its illustrious history. To create a pen that represents the complexities of the very organ it celebrates, Montegrappa's designers drew inspiration from the brain itself.
The link between the brain and the pen encouraged Montegrappa to illustrate this direct intellectual and physical connection. Emblematic of this is the contrast present in the pen's most basic structural elements: the top part of the pen is rich and elaborate, while the body is simple, acting as a parallel to a man's body, where all his riches are in the brain.
Accompanying every Brain Pen is a copy of a book written especially for Montegrappa by Dr. Restak.
