HARRY POTTER: HOGWARTS L.E. Writing wizardry
We are delighted to announce the release of our first Limited Edition for the hugely popular Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter: Hogwarts L.E. will be available to ship from the end of July, 2021.
Created by J.K. Rowling, seven Harry Potter bestsellers have inspired eight blockbuster movies, an award-winning stage play and the Fantastic Beasts series. The adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione are escapist, heroic and magical, and take place in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Following the release of the open-edition Harry Potter: House Colours, their prestigious private school is once again the focal point.
Lost wax casting, vermeil, low-relief engraving, guilloché and hand-enamelling are all used to reproduce elements of Hogwarts around a black resin core. Crests, monograms, mascots and mottos represent each Hogwarts house on the cap, barrel and blind cap, with house colours realised in vitreous enamel.
The Hogwarts coat of arms also features on both barrel faces, and are gold-plated on the sterling-silver editions. Pocket clips are also cast from silver, with gold plate and a spring-loaded mechanism.
Other features include a red corundum cabochon on the crown (a reference to the Philosopher’s/ Sorcerer’s Stone) and a vacant panel on the reverse side of cap for personal engraving.
The sterling-silver fountain pen and rollerball are made in editions of 142 pieces each – a reference to the number of staircases in Hogwarts Castle. In 18K gold, seven fountain pens represent the school’s seven floors, while four rollerballs refer to its four student houses.
