Our environmentally-minded, entry-level pen – the Elmo Ambiente – has been updated. The arrival of a new colour way signals new possibilities!
Kaleido joins Ocean and Charcoal as the third body option from our collaboration with Arbos and Smile Plastics. Kaleido’s sophisticated multi-coloured textures reflect fascinating origins: disposable cosmetics packaging, recovered and repurposed using artisanal production.
Smile Plastics’ recycled materials debuted last year on the Elmo Ambiente, and have proven both remarkable and successful. Their inclusion in our line-up directly addresses growing consumer demand for sustainable solutions, while also perpetuating our reputation for innovative, bold finishes. The dark, dense composition of Kaleido offers customers a more familiar mosaic aesthetic, but a wholly unique origin story.
Elmo Ambiente – Kaleido shares the same properties and options as Ocean and Charcoal, and is available in ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pen modes (steel nib: EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5). Like the incumbent models, Kaleido’s imperfections are not a bug, but a feature: a notion that extends to its recycled packaging and a suite of sustainable writing accessories – all made for Montegrappa by artisanal stationers, Arbos:
