New Montegrappa Brenta

A brand-new silhouette with a big future is on the horizon. The first model to be designated under our new Vintage Class is Brenta – already available to ship to markets.

As visitors to Bassano del Grappa know, Brenta is also the name of the river that flows beneath the landmark Ponte Vecchio bridge and past our historic headquarters. The 174km stretch of water that connects Trento, Bassano, Padua and Venice to the Adriatic Sea has a history intertwined with Venetian trade and aristocracy, and its elegant, gentle flow is evoked in the seductive soft facets of our new silhouette.

Our design takes inspiration from a rare 1930s Extra model housed in our museum. Brenta’s most distinctive feature is its all-over wave-formation relief – an effect that demonstrates the high technical sophistication of our pre-war factory. Indeed, this glistening briolette shaping would be barely possible today without the aid of advanced CNC machining.

Brenta is carved from resin and uses thinline stainless steel – most visibly on a cigar-style, triple-bar cap-band. It features our classical contour clip with ruzzolino clamp, and is supplied in fountain pen, rollerball

Writing instruments in our Vintage Class use modern tooling to recapture the dashing glamour of early-era writing silhouettes. Brenta revives audacious 1930s ornamentation with soft briolette faceting.

The picturesque banks of the Brenta have provided the setting for more than a century of Italian fountain pen history. The majestic river’s flow inspires subtle contours that shimmer in the light.

Symbols of a golden age. Our graceful contour clip and ruzzolino clamp are hallmark, handcrafted components that have provided the finishing touches to many of our most exalted models.

Craftsmanship you can feel. The best traditions of artisanal industry mean Brenta’s nuanced surfaces are cut and polished like a precious stone: tactile vitality flows through every word.
